<p>Please find attached a link to the April newsletter, which will also be on our website soon. Pastor Steve's letter on page 2 reminds us of the significance of this Resurrection season. It's an excellent read. </p>
<p>This Sunday is Palm Sunday, and Holy Week is next week with Easter Sunday on April 5th. You'll find the schedule for week on page 4. We hope you will join us for one or more of these special services. If you know you'll be attending the Maundy Thursday service or the Easter Breakfast, we would like to have your reservation to ensure we'll have enough food. You can RSVP on the back of the connection card this Sunday, or by calling the church office. Please invite your family, friends and neighbors to worship with us.</p>
<p>The PORT's annual Plant Sale Fundraiser is happening now. On page 6 you'll find all of the information on how to place your order online. Don't miss out, as the deadline for all orders to be placed is 10pm on Easter Sunday, April 5th. </p>

<p>Hello Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>

<p>Lent is upon us and Pastor Steve's letter on page 2 is an excellent read. Please take a few minutes to read through it. </p>
<p>Don't miss the articles on page 6 that go over the Holy Week and Easter Sunday schedule, and some special upcoming Sundays this spring. There is also more information about our All Church Storage Cleaning Day that will take place on Saturday, March 21. If you love to hunt for treasures then this is the event for you! Bring your favorite work gloves and join in as we clear out storage closets and file cabinets that haven't been touched in a long time. </p>
<p>There is much happening here at The PORT! We hope you will join us for worship in person or online during these weeks of Lent. And don't miss our Easter morning! It's going to be a beautiful and meaningful day. Our Easter Garden is going to be overflowing with flowering plants. </p>

<p>Dear Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>Happy New Year! We wish you and yours a happy and healthy new year filled with many blessings. </p>
<p>As we pause to catch our breath from the hustle and bustle of the busy Christmas season, we look ahead to 2026 and what God has in store for our church. Pastor Steve's letter on page 2 reflects upon his first six months at The PORT, and offers some opportunities for spiritual growth in the new year. </p>
<p>On page 5 we are introducing you to our new Media & Technology Intern, Paddy. Please read his introduction and then introduce yourselves to him on Sunday morning. He is very excited to be here and our volunteers are very excited to have him stepping in to provide some much-needed support and assistance. He will be sitting in the sound booth on Sundays. Welcome to The PORT, Paddy!</p>
<p>January brings several opportunities for us to come together. We have the new Tuesday night bible study starting on 1/13. You'll find more details about this on page 5. On Wednesday, 1/18, we'll have our Monthly SupPORT dinner at 5:30. Everyone is encouraged to attend. It's a casual supper with easy conversation, and provides an opportunity to get to know each other better. And finally, all are invited to a fun night of friendly competion on Saturday, 1/31, for our PORT Family Game Night. See page 6 for more details. </p>
<p>We hope you will come out to one or all of these events, and especially join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10am, in person or livestreamed online. We greatly look forward to seeing you all very soon at The PORT! </p>

<p>Greetings Members and Friends of the PORT,</p>

<p>November is here, which means it is time once again for our Holiday Bazaar! It's our 51st year. We can and should be very proud of the reputation our Bazaar has established in our community. So many people look forward to kick-starting their holiday season by coming to our event. They purchase a few new items to add to their holiday decor and run to the bake sale to find their favorite treats. Lynn has been personalizing ornaments for some families who are into their 3rd and 4th generation.</p>
<p>This year, more than ever, we truly need everybody's help. We've lost so many faithful members who worked so tirelessly on this labor of love every year. We are praying that everybody will step up to take a shift (or more!) to help us staff the sale. It's very easy to do, and you can be seated or standing. No money handling will be involved, as we have a central cashier. Please read all the details on page 3, or call the church office and Lori will be happy to answer any questions. Thank you all in advance for your hard work and support.</p>
<p>Pastor Steve's article is on page 2, and it's filled with exciting happenings at The PORT, as well as some requests and ways we can be of more help to our neighbors in need. It's an excellent message.</p>

<p>Dear Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>Attached is the link to the October newsletter. We are gearing up for two big community events, first starting with our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, 10/25 from 3-5pm. Please bring your family and friends for a safe and fun way to trick or treat. We'll even have a bonfire with s'mores!  We need decorated vehicle trunks too, so get your creative ideas pulled together, don a costume if you want to, and come at 2pm to set up. Don't forget the candy!</p>
<p>Our second coming event is our 51st annual Holiday Bazaar on  November 14 and 15. In these final weeks before the Bazaar we've shared a few ways where everybody can get involved now (see page 6). As the saying goes, many hands will make light work, so please join us and let's make it another great year!</p>
<p>Pastor Steve has been busy meeting with our members and friends, and he is still hoping to meet with any of you who've not yet been able to do so. Please call the church office to set up a time, or you can reach out to Pastor Steve by email as well. He's been enjoying these meetings and loves hearing the stories of how people came to this church. Be sure to read his article on pages 2-3 for many updates and news.</p>
<p>Please be aware that starting this week our driveway from Portland Avenue is closed due to road construction. It is planned to be closed until the middle of November. The recommended detour is to use 5th Avenue from 81st Street. See page 3 for more details and a map.</p>

<p>Hello Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>We hope you are enjoying these last days of summer and the beautiful weather. As August winds down we look forward to welcoming everybody back to church after their summer vacations and weekends away. We have made some minor changes to the order of our worship services as Pastor Steve and the Worship Team strive to offer a meaningful worship experience for all. We hope you will come check it out and let us know what you think! We invite everybody to "come home...to church."</p>
<p>On the first Sunday of the month, Sept. 7th, we'll be celebrating Rally Sunday with a our praise band and the return of Sunday School classes for the kids. See page 3 for a few more details about this fall's cirriculum. </p>
<p>This month we have a couple of events to look forward to, including a Mini Golf outing and the return of our Community Suppers. See pages 3 and 4 for more information. And on the horizon is our Trunk or Treat event and our 51st annual Holiday Bazaar. There is much more in the works, and we can't wait to have everybody back to join in the fun! </p>
<p>If you have not yet had a chance to meet with Pastor Steve for your time to get to know each other, please call the church office or Pastor Steve directly to schedule some time. There is a sign-up sheet with several available dates and times on the Welcome Desk as well. </p>
<p>Have a safe Labor Day holiday weekend, and we look forward to seeing you very soon at The PORT!</p>

<p>Greetings Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>The summer months seems to fly by, and here we are on the doorsteps of back to school and the busy fall schedules. We hope you have been enjoying some downtime with your families and friends and have been able to get away to relax and take in the best of summer while it's here. </p>
<p>We welcomed Pastor Steve Nuessle and his family to The PORT in July, and we are excited to celebrate their arrival this Sunday with a "Nestle" themed party. (We're having a little fun with the pronunciation of their last name!) Please join us for some sweet treats and a chance to meet Pastor Steve, his wife Krista, and their sons Theo and Winston after worship this Sunday, 8/3, in the Wesley Room.</p>

<p>Hello Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>Here's the link to the July newsletter, which will also be on the website very soon at www.paumc.org.</p>
<p>It's an exciting time for our church as we welcome our new pastor, Rev. Steve Nuessle, his wife Krista, and their sons Theo and Winston. Please see the cover article to learn more about them, and don't miss Pastor Steve's welcome article on page 2. </p>
<p>On July 27th we are welcoming a drumming band called Sheltered Reality to The PORT. They will be leading our worship service that morning with an interactive and fun performance that is sure to wake up the neighborhood! We will be outdoors on the parking lot side of the church, and we are inviting our neighbors and the other churches that worship in our building to join us for this event. More details are on the flyer on page 5. We hope you will invite your friends and neighbors to this one-of-a-kind worship experience!</p>
<p>We've had a busy summer with several celebrations during and after our worship services. We have another celebration planned for this Sunday, 6/29, as we thank Pastor Steve Reiser and his wife, Berri, for their faithful leadership over these past six months. Please come to help us wish them well. </p>
<p>We hope you are finding some time to unwind and enjoy these warm summer (and sometimes very wet) days! Please stop in to see us and meet our new pastor when you're in town, and travel safely till we see you again! Blessings!</p>

<p>Greetings Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>We hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Attached is the link to the June newsletter, which will be posted on our website very soon.</p>
<p>We have a lot happening in June! We're celebrating the graduates on 6/8, and we'll be having "Donuts for Dudes" on Father's Day. Our first of three outdoor worship services will be on the 22nd (weather permitting) as we have our annual Blessing of the Animals service. So bring your pets on a leash, or bring pictures of them if you prefer, and let Pastor Steve bless them! </p>
<p>Pastor Steve and Pam Rose will be attending the Minnesota Annual Conference in St. Cloud from 6/11 - 6/13. On Thursday evening, 6/12, Pastor Steve will be Ordained during the "Celebration of Life in Ministry Service", which will be livestreamed on the UMC Conference's Facebook page. See details on page 2, following the pastor's article. We are so happy and proud of Pastor Steve's accomplishment, as he has been working toward this for a long time. </p>
<p>On 6/29 we will have to say farewell to Pastor Steve and his wife, Berri, as his six month interim period at The PORT comes to an end. We have been so blessed to have his faithful leadership and his thought-provoking method of teaching the scriptures that he loved to share with us every week. Please join us on the 29th to thank them for their time with us and to wish them all the best going forward.</p>
<p>Please plan to join us on July 6th when our new pastor, Rev. Steve Nuessle, will lead us in worship. We'll have much more about Pastor Steve and his family in the July newsletter. </p>
