<p>Greetings Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>Welcome to October! This month's Portlight will look a bit different as it was produced using another software because the previous software has been discontinued. Please forgive any errors you may encounter and know that this will be a work in progress to get the new format in place. Thank you for your patience and understanding.</p>
<p>We are gearing up for two big community events at The PORT. Our 4th annual Trunk or Treat will be held on Saturday, 10/24 from 3-5pm. Please invite your family and friends to this safe and fun way to trick or treat. We'll have a bonfire with hot dogs and s'mores. We need decorated vehicle trunks too, so get your creative ideas pulled together, don a costume if you want to, and come at 2pm to set up. Don't forget to bring some treats to hand out! </p>
<p>Our second coming event is our 52nd Annual Holiday Bazaar & Attic Treasures which will be held on Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14. In these final weeks before the Bazaar we've shared a few ways that you can get involved now (see page 5). We need everybody's help, this year more than ever, so please join us and let's make it another great year! </p>
<p>This Sunday is World Communion Sunday. We are excited to have the youth take part in the readings and Pastor Steve's message will be about the Ten Commandments. And Marianne, one of our talented pianists, is bringing her harp to bless us with some special music. It's sure to be a wonderful time of worship and reflection. </p>
<p>With so many upcoming fellowship opportunities, we hope to see everyone at The PORT very soon! Blessings!</p>

<p>Greetings Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>September is upon us - how did it come so fast? The schools are starting again, and the routines of another church year are getting into the swing as well. We are ready to welcome back everybody on Sunday, 9/13 for our "Back to Church" Sunday. You can learn more about this in Pastor Steve's letter on page 2. </p>
<p>On page 4, Mission Outreach shares an update about the success of the VEAP Birthday Cake Kits that were donated from July, and you can get into the mindset of the Holiday Bazaar, which is just over 2 months away, by reading the article on page 5.</p>
<p>Finally, on page 6, please read the article from Pastor Steve about Wesleyan Small Groups. This was a big takeaway from his Pilgrimage in Great Britain, and he is presenting the idea of introducing small groups to The PORT in 2027.</p>

<p>Greetings Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>Attached is the link to the August newsletter, which will be on our website soon. Pastor Steve just returned from his trip to Great Britain and he shared several highlights in his article this month. You won't want to miss it on pages 2 and 3. </p>
<p>While we're in the slower pace of summer, some exciting things are still happening around The PORT. We have a Landscaping Crew that is working on big things, which you can read about on page 6.</p>
<p>Our Sheltered Reality Drumming service that was planned to be outdoors on 7/19, was forced to move into the Sanctuary due to the excessive heat and the poor air quality. There are a few pictures with a recap on page 4. We're hoping the weather will be more favorable for our Outdoor Worship Service with BBQ Lunch that is planned for 8/16. Please bring your favorite lawn chair and your water, and invite your friends and neighbors to join us! </p>

<p>Greetings Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>Attached is the link to the June newsletter, which will soon be posted to our website as well. We're exhaling from the busy year and slowing down a bit while our regular programs take the summer off. This includes Sunday School, the monthly dinner, and the weekly bible study. These will all resume in September.</p>
<p>There are several articles in this month's newsletter that will provide good updates on the happenings here at church. We have a nice article from our Intern Paddy on page 5 that you won't want to miss. And, of course, Pastor Steve's letter on page 2 is another excellent article with some important updates.</p>
<p>We have two special worship services planned in June that we hope you'll be able to attend. On 6/7 we'll be celebrating the graduates from our church family, and we'll also be welcoming a few new members into the congregation. Please join us in congratulating these individuals and extending a warm PORT welcome to them during the reception following the service. On 6/21 we'll celebrate all of our fathers, grandfathers and father figures during worship and then following the service we'll enjoy "Donuts for Dudes".</p>

<p>Greetings Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>Attached is the link to the May newsletter, which will be posted to our website soon. We have several events happening this month that are detailed inside this issue. Please be sure to check the calendar on page 7 so you won't miss anything.</p>
<p>This month closes out our program year until the fall. Some of our regular events will be wrapping up this month to take a break for the summer. Our last regular Sunday before the summer break will be May 17th, which will be our annual Great Day of Music. As is our tradition, the entire service will be made up of music, with very little spoken word. Please invite your family and friends to this fun, uplifting service.</p>
<p>Our Sunday School has one more session this Sunday, 5/3, and then they will be done meeting until September. We also have one more SupPORT Dinner on 5/20 before the summer break, so please join us for a casual meal and conversation. </p>
<p>As the weather warms and the flowers and trees spring back to new life, we hope you will find joy and blessings in this season. We are excited about what God has in store for us here at PAUMC, and we look forward to discovering it together with you, our church family. We hope to see you very soon at The PORT!</p>

<p>This Sunday is Palm Sunday, and Holy Week is next week with Easter Sunday on April 5th. You'll find the schedule for week on page 4. We hope you will join us for one or more of these special services. If you know you'll be attending the Maundy Thursday service or the Easter Breakfast, we would like to have your reservation to ensure we'll have enough food. You can RSVP on the back of the connection card this Sunday, or by calling the church office. Please invite your family, friends and neighbors to worship with us.</p>

<p>Hello Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>The link to the March Portlight is attached, and it will soon be on our website as well.</p>
<p>Lent is upon us and Pastor Steve's letter on page 2 is an excellent read. Please take a few minutes to read through it. </p>
<p>Don't miss the articles on page 6 that go over the Holy Week and Easter Sunday schedule, and some special upcoming Sundays this spring. There is also more information about our All Church Storage Cleaning Day that will take place on Saturday, March 21. If you love to hunt for treasures then this is the event for you! Bring your favorite work gloves and join in as we clear out storage closets and file cabinets that haven't been touched in a long time. </p>
<p>There is much happening here at The PORT! We hope you will join us for worship in person or online during these weeks of Lent. And don't miss our Easter morning! It's going to be a beautiful and meaningful day. Our Easter Garden is going to be overflowing with flowering plants. </p>
<p>Wishing you all a blessed March as we go through Lent and welcome Spring. And don't forget to set your clocks ahead on Sunday, March 8th. Take care, friends. </p>

<p>This month as we celebrate Valentine's Day, we will also usher in the season of Lent with Ash Wednesday on 2/18. Please see the article on page 5 for more details.</p>
<p>Pastor Steve's letter on pages 2-3 contains an excellent message for us in these challenging times. February's Mission Outreach focus is also on page 3. </p>
<p>You'll find a recap of The PORT's morning at Feed My Starving Children on page 6, along with some great pictures.</p>

<p>Dear Members and Friends of The PORT,</p>
<p>Happy New Year! We wish you and yours a happy and healthy new year filled with many blessings. </p>
<p>As we pause to catch our breath from the hustle and bustle of the busy Christmas season, we look ahead to 2026 and what God has in store for our church. Pastor Steve's letter on page 2 reflects upon his first six months at The PORT, and offers some opportunities for spiritual growth in the new year. </p>
<p>On page 5 we are introducing you to our new Media & Technology Intern, Paddy. Please read his introduction and then introduce yourselves to him on Sunday morning. He is very excited to be here and our volunteers are very excited to have him stepping in to provide some much-needed support and assistance. He will be sitting in the sound booth on Sundays. Welcome to The PORT, Paddy!</p>
<p>January brings several opportunities for us to come together. We have the new Tuesday night bible study starting on 1/13. You'll find more details about this on page 5. On Wednesday, 1/18, we'll have our Monthly SupPORT dinner at 5:30. Everyone is encouraged to attend. It's a casual supper with easy conversation, and provides an opportunity to get to know each other better. And finally, all are invited to a fun night of friendly competion on Saturday, 1/31, for our PORT Family Game Night. See page 6 for more details. </p>
<p>We hope you will come out to one or all of these events, and especially join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10am, in person or livestreamed online. We greatly look forward to seeing you all very soon at The PORT! </p>

<p>Can you believe it? December has arrived and Advent has begun. We hope this season will be a special time for you and your families. </p>
<p>This issue of the newsletter includes a special Advent message from Pastor Steve, and several updates to the many happenings at The PORT. </p>
<p>We hope you will invite a friend or two to join you in worship during this special season. And please join us for our monthly Community Dinner on Wednesday, 12/17 at 5:30pm. It's a great time to relax and enjoy some delicious food and casual conversation, without having to do any of the work!</p>
