Greetings Members and Friends of The PORT,

Welcome to October! This month's Portlight will look a bit different as it was produced using another software because the previous software has been discontinued. Please forgive any errors you may encounter and know that this will be a work in progress to get the new format in place. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are gearing up for two big community events at The PORT. Our 4th annual Trunk or Treat will be held on Saturday, 10/24 from 3-5pm. Please invite your family and friends to this safe and fun way to trick or treat. We'll have a bonfire with hot dogs and s'mores. We need decorated vehicle trunks too, so get your creative ideas pulled together, don a costume if you want to, and come at 2pm to set up. Don't forget to bring some treats to hand out! 

Our second coming event is our 52nd Annual Holiday Bazaar & Attic Treasures which will be held on Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14. In these final weeks before the Bazaar we've shared a few ways that you can get involved now (see page 5). We need everybody's help, this year more than ever, so please join us and let's make it another great year! 

This Sunday is World Communion Sunday. We are excited to have the youth take part in the readings and Pastor Steve's message will be about the Ten Commandments. And Marianne, one of our talented pianists, is bringing her harp to bless us with some special music. It's sure to be a wonderful time of worship and reflection.
