Dear Members and Friends of The PORT,
Attached you will find a link to the February newsletter. It will also be posted on our website very soon.
Februrary is, of course, known as the month of love, since Valentine's Day falls on the 14th. And in this edition our focus is on God's love for us. You will find a warm greeting from our interim Pastor Steve Reiser in which he asks some very thought-provoking questions. Much like his messages on Sunday morning, Pastor Steve poses excellent questions that gives us much to ponder. His letter is on page 2.
You will not want to miss the article on page 6 that provides some excellent tools when we're facing tough times. Written by Rev. Joseph Yoo, a UMC pastor from Texas, he shares how we can find inspiration from our faith and our family, and he also includes a number of bible verses to explore for even more help and inspiration.
On Wednesday, February 19th we will be hosting our 6th free monthly community dinner. Please sign up at the Welcome Desk to let us know if you will be attending and/or if you can help us serve our neighbors and friends. And please extend a warm invitation to your family and friends. Who wouldn't love a home-cooked dinner without the work and clean-up? And it comes with some good conversation as well! We hope to see you there!
Friends, please join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00am. We are learning so much from Pastor Steve, so come and enjoy an inspiring morning. Peace to you and yours, and Happy Valentine's Day!
