Dear Members and Friends of The PORT,

Happy Halloween! Attached is the November Portlight, filled with lots of "treats" but no "tricks". 

As most of you know, this is the month of our Annual Holiday Bazaar, but this year is extra special as we're celebrating its 50th Anniversary! Wow, that is a huge milestone and one that we should all be so proud of! Our bazaar has a longstanding reputation as being one of the best in the area. We have a rich heritage of creative and talented folks who showed us how to put this event on every year, and we cannot help but remember them as we celebrate this milestone. But to successfully carry out this huge project we will need everybody's help. Please read through page 5 with all of the details for the coming week and find out where you can help. If you can lend us a couple of hours up to a full day, whatever you can give will help! With many hands we will be ready by Friday. We thank you all in advance for your steadfast support and we ask for your prayers that we will have another great year! 

This Sunday, 11/3, is All Saints Sunday and we will remember those from our congregation who we lost over the past year. We hope you will join us for this special service of rememberance.

Of course, we will also celebrate Thanksgiving this month. Pastor Henry's letter includes some wonderful points about being thankful. 

We have much to be thankful for indeed. We hope to see you very soon in worship, and of course, at our 50th Holiday Bazaar!
